Gujarat BJP does a clean sweep in local bodies elections

In the counting done today, saturday, BJP has done a clean sweep of the results winning more than three fourth seats. Out of 24 district bodies BJP has won 21 while Congress has just two. In the municipalities elections BJP has won 42 out of 53 municipal bodies while Congress has got just 4. With this humiliating defeat Gujarat State Congress President Siddhartha Patel has resigned from his post.
