First time a shooting was done inside a real jail

Jail scenes are very common in the films but are usually filmed on the sets inside the studios. This was a first time when a film was filmed in a real jail and that too in a Naxal infested area like Jehanabad. The jail was Kakopali jail which is under construction these days. When Hyder had a chance to visit the jail he thought that it can be used in his film ‘Kalia’. As the jail was under construction the permission to shoot a film inside the ‘jail’ was easily obtained.
Hyder says that it was a splendid experience for him.
‘Kalia’ is directed by Shivram Yadav and stars Hyder Kazmit, Akshara Singh, Anil Yadav and Baleshwar Singh in lead roles.
