It is the golden period for Bhojpuri cinema industry and Indian, non-resident Indians and foreigners too are taking interest in Bhojpuri films. The latest example of it became evident when a Bhojpuri film Chunnu Babu Singapuri was launched recently in Mumbai by Chinese producers S.Tang and Jeriman Chua under the banner of Polania Vatsa Entertainment. This is for the first time that a Bhojpuri film is going to be produced by Chinese producers.

Manoj Shripati Jha is going to direct the film and Virendra K. Pandey shall play the title role of Chunnu Babu Singapuri. His heroines will be Monalisa, the hot-girl of Bhojpuri cinema, and Rakhi Tripathi. Other stars include Anand Mohan, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjeev Jha, and Baleshwar.

The Chinese producers, S.Tang and Jerima Chua, hope that the Bhojpuri film industry will extend all possible help to them. Virendra K Pandey says that his childhood dream has come true. The director Manoj Shripati says that the songs are being recorded under the music direction of Manoj Matalabi. Cameraman will be Ranjan Mishra and Vibhuti Bhushan shall edit the film made on the story written by Surendra Mishra.

The film is scheduled to be shot at Singapore locations in October this year.
