On Thursday a court of Bhagalpur sentenced seven accused to seven years of imprisonment. During the 1989 Bhagalpur riots when a police party went to Karimganj area of Bhagalpur to investigate some murders these accused had attacked the police party. They have been fined Rs. 2000/- each along with the jail sentence.
